Woof up in your Sunday Best for Sydney’s Million Paws Walk

Editorial Review

This Sunday wack a leash on your pampered pooch and head down to Sydney Olympic Park for the spectacular Million Paws Walk, where you and Fido get to spend some quality time together at the same time raising some much needed funds for Sydney’s neediest animals

Editorial Review

10am (register from 8am) 18 May
The Overflow, Sydney Olympic Park

Part of the RSCPA’s largest national fundraising day, this year’s walk is a three kilometre jaunt through Sydney parkland that’s dog and people friendly, kind to all fitness levels and the place to be for any social two-legged Sydneysider and their four-legged friend. And even if you’re sans pooch you can still join in the fun and support the activities of the RSCPA.

But it’s not just a walk in the park, you know. At the event’s hub is a bonanza of entertainment including rides (for the humans), food stalls (for everyone), dog washes, vet checks, things to buy for your pets, plus plenty of live music. There’s also opportunity to show off your very fashionable friend with a ‘best in walk’ competition and various doggy games, so be sure to dress your pooch in his or hers finest dog designer threads.

Working dogs from law enforcement and military units also get in on the event demonstration their drug and explosive detecting skills in the National Service Dog Trials.

And where would we be without the ‘poo fairies’ who will be on hand watching out for any little accidents and helping everyone enjoy the day without stepping on anything other than grass!

Be sure to arrive early for Sydney’s friendliest event of the year where everyone gets a free show bag upon entry, with all proceeds going to the operating costs of the NSW branch of the RSPCA.
